Super shrimp suraikai kuzhambu recipe

Kuzhambu (curry) made with Suraikai (bottle gourd) and shrimp is a good combination with super taste. let see how to cook this kuzhambu (curry).

INGREDIENTS:
- Shrimp - 1/4 kilogram
- Suraikai (bottle gourd) - 1/4 kilogram
- Tamarind - 1 small lemon size
- Green chili - 2
- Chili powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garlic - 6 clove
- Onion - 250 grams
- Tomato - 250 grams
- Curry leaf - 10 count
- Coriander leaf - little
- Oil - 1 ladle (Kuli karandi)
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Chop onion, coriander leaves, suraikai (bottle gourd), tomato into small pieces and keep it aside.
- Crush the garlic cloves.
- Slit the green chili.
- Soak tamarind in a cup of water and get the tamarind juice.
- In a pan heat oil. Now add crushed cloves, curry leaves and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
- Now add the green chili, chopped onion and sauté until the onion turns translucent.
- Now add chopped tomato and sauté until they become mushy.
- Now add the suraikai (bottle gourd) pieces, shrimp and sauté. NOTE: shrimp will release water so compensate for this when you add water.
- Now add chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, water as needed and bring to boil.
- Now add black pepper powder, tamarind juice and cook until the curry reached the right thickness and the ingredients are cooked. should take about 10 minutes.
- Before you remove from heat garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
