INGREDIENTS:
- Rava - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Pineapple cube - 3/4 cup
- Pineapple essence - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Saffron - a pinch
- Cashew nut - 8
- Raisin - 8
- Ghee - as needed
PREPARATION:
- In bowl add pineapple cubes, sugar. mix well and keep this aside for 30 minutes.
- Roast the rava in low heat and keep it aside.
- Roast the cashews, raisins in little bit of ghee and keep it aside.
- In the pan you roasted cashew in ghee. add 2 1/2 cup of water, saffron and bring to boil.
- Now add rava little by little at the same time mixing gently. NOTE: make sure no lump is formed.
- Now add the pineapple pieces and mix well. Once the kesari becomes little thick. Place a lid, Low the heat and cook until it becomes kesari consistency (thick ness to your preference) and the rava is cooked.
- Now add the essence, roasted cashew, raisins, ghee mix well and remove from heat and serve.
