INGREDIENTS:
- Maida flour or Wheat flour - 1 or 2 cup
- Ripe banana - 1 big or 2 small
- Yogurt - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Ghee - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Sugar / Jaggery - 3 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin seed (optional) - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Salt - as needed
- Oil - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Mash the banana well. Add yogurt, sugar, ghee, salt, baking soda, cumin seeds and beat well until they become mushy and mixed well.
- Now add little by little the flour (wheat or maida) and make a dough you do for puri. NOTE: avoid adding water as much as possible if you still need water add as needed. Coat the dough with little oil and keep it aside for 8 hours.
- Now make equal size balls and make a thick flat dough round sheet like you do for puri.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry them in low heat and serve. NOTE: don't cook in very high heat it will get burnt. Inner side should be like cotton.
NOTES:
- Dough has to be make like you do for puri or the result won't be good.
- Trick is to cook in low heat until the middle is cooked or it will be mushy.
- Servings: 12 to 15 small ones.
- You can keep this 3 to 4 days without spoiling.
