INGREDIENTS:
- Parboiled rice - 1/2 cup
- Rice - 1/2 cup
- Mung Dal - 1/2 cup
- Shredded coconut - 1/4 cup
- Hot Green chili - 2
- Salt - to taste
- Onion - 1
- split black gram - 2 teaspoon (tsp)
- split Bengal gram - 2 teaspoon (tsp)
- Oil - as needed
- Curry leaves - 5
- Coriander leaves - 10
PREPARATION:
- Soak parboiled rice, rice in a bowl for 2 hours. Soak mung dal for 2 hours.
- Now grind the rice, parboiled rice, mung dal, shredded coconut into a dough (dosai consistency)
- Cut onions, hot green chili, curry leaves, coriander leaves into fine pieces.
- In a pan heat oil, add onion, hot green chili, curry leaves, coriander leaves, split black gram, split Bengal gram, until the onion turns golden brown.
- Add this to dough and mix well.
- Heat the iron skillet or non-stick tawa pan with coat of oil.
- Pour a spoonful of batter in the center, spread with the back of the spoon to a thick round.
- Once this side is cooked, flip over and cook until the adai dosai is cooked on the other side. Remove and serve
