INGREDIENTS:

  1. Mutton (goat or lamb) meat - 200 grams
  2. Onion - 1
  3. Tomato - 1
  4. Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  5. Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Hot chili powder - 1 and 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
  8. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  9. Salt - as needed
  10. Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  11. Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
  12. Grated coconut - 1 cup
  13. Oil - 2 tablespoon (tbsp)
  14. Hot green chili - 2

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut onion and tomatoes into small pieces.
  2. Grind in a blender mint leaves, coriander leaves, hot green chili and grated coconut. Add water as needed.
  3. Mix mutton with ginger paste, garlic paste and marinate for 1/2 hours.
  4. In a pan add marinated mutton, turmeric powder, hot chili powder, coriander powder, cut onions, cut tomatoes, oil, 2 cups of water and cook until it starts to boil.
  5. Now add the ground mint leaves, coriander leaves, hot green chili and grated coconut and cook until the meat is cooked and korma reaches a thick consistency. (takes about 15 to 20 min)
  6. Korma is ready to be served.
