INGREDIENTS:

  1. Gram flour - 2 cup
  2. Cooking soda - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Green chili paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. -- For Tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Curry leaf - 6
    4. Mint leaf (optional) - little
    5. Coriander leaf - little
    6. Chat masala powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    7. Dry chili - 3
    8. Oil - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Lemon juice – as needed
  6. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Mix green chili paste, gram flour, salt, cooking soda, water as needed and make batter consistency to idli batter.
  2. Now steam this batter in idli cooker. Once the batter is cooked well. Cool the cooked batter room temperature and cut them into small cubes. NOTE: no water should be in cooked batter cubes
  3. In pan heat oil. Now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dry chili. Once the seeds stop splattering add curry leaves, coriander leaves, mint leaves until the leaves are sautéed.
  4. Now add the cooked dhokla pieces, chat masala powder, lemon juice and cook until the dhokla pieces are well coated with masala and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Good healthy breakfast.
