INGREDIENTS:

  1. -- For making batter --
    1. Rice flour - 100 grams
    2. Black gram flour - 50 grams
  2. Egg - 1
  3. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  4. Coconut milk - 1 cup
  5. Maida flour - 1/4 cup
  6. Salt - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Saffron - a pinch
  8. Sesame oil - 1/4 cup
  9. Ghee - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. In a bowl add rice flour, black gram flour, maida flour, egg, saffron, salt to taste, coconut milk and make a batter by adding water as needed. NOTE: make sure when you make batter it does form clots.
  2. In a pan heat oil; now add the batter. Reduce heat; stir and cook until it get thick.
  3. Now add the sugar and continue cooking. Once the batter become like rava upma consistency. Add ghee and continue cooking for few minutes and serve.

NOTES:

  1. You can roast cashew nuts and add to the porridge and serve.
