Kadambam thuvaiyal recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  2. Dry chili - 4
  3. Green chili - 3
  4. Garlic - 3 cloves
  5. Tamarind - 1 small gooseberry size
  6. Shallot or small onion - 8
  7. White sesame seed - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Coriander leaf - 20
  9. Mint leaf - 20
  10. Curry leaf - 10
  11. Oil - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in a pan add dry chili and cook for 30 seconds.
  2. Now add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Add white sesame seed and cook for 30 seconds. Now add coconut and cook for 2 minutes. Remove and cool down.
  4. Grid coconut mixture, onion, mint leaves, coriander leaves, curry leaf, green chili, tamarind, salt to tastes into a fine paste by adding as little water as possible. And serve the Kadambam thuvaiyal.

NOTES:

  1. Good to go with idli, dosai, Congee and rice porridge.
