INGREDIENTS:

  1. Cooked rice - 1 cup
  2. Finely chopped onion - 1
  3. Finely chopped tomato - 1
  4. Chopped capsicum - 1
  5. Chopped carrot - 1/2
  6. Chopped green beans - 3
  7. Green peas - 1/4 cup
  8. Chopped green chili - 3
  9. Coriander leaves - handful
  10. Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Chili garlic paste - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  12. Pav bhaji masala powder - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  13. Oil - for tempering
  14. Salt - as needed
  15. -- Ingredients for garlic chili paste --
    1. Dry chili - 4
    2. Garlic - 5 clove

PREPARATION:

  1. Making garlic chili paste: soak dry chili in water for 10 minute and drain the water. Grind soaked dry chili, garlic cloves by adding little water as possible and grind to fine paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seed and sauté until they splatter.
  3. Now add onion and sauté it. Once the onion is sautéed add tomato, carrot, green beans, green peas and sautéed them.
  4. Now add capsicum, green chili and sautéed them. Once they are sautéed add salt, pav bhaji masala, chili garlic paste and sauté until they are cooked and oil separates or right thickness is reached.
  5. Now as the cooked rice and mix well until the rice is coated with the masala. Now garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

NOTES:

  1. This is a street food served in Mumbai (India) streets.
