Spinach rice recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chopped Spinach leaves - 3 cup
  2. Cooked rice - 4 cup
  3. Finely chopped onion - 2
  4. Chopped green chili - 3
  5. Finely chopped tomato - 1
  6. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Spit bengal gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Salt - as needed
  12. Oil - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, split bengal gram. Once the cumin seeds stop splattering, add onion, green chili and sauté until onion turns translucent (golden brown).
  2. Now add spinach leaves and tomato. Sauté them until the spinach leaves are cooked well.
  3. Now add the chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and Sauté until the raw smell is gone.
  4. Now add the cooked rice and sauté until the rice is well coated and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with potato fry.
