Sesame (ellu) rice recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Cooked rice - 1 Cup
  2. Sesame (ellu) seeds - 100 grams
  3. Hot dry chili - 3
  4. Urad dal - 1 table spoon
  5. Asafoetida - a pinch
  6. Ghee - 2 table spoon
  7. Cashews (optional) - 5
  8. Lemon - 1/2
  9. Curry leaves (optional) - 4
  10. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Melt butter add cashews and curry leaves and keep it aside.
  2. In the same pan with some butter left add sesame seeds, hot dry chili (you can break it), asafoetida and ural dal and fry them until urad dal turns light brown. Now powder the fried ingredients and keep it aside.
  3. Now add the items fried in step 1, 2 and salt to the cooked rice mix well and serve.
