Rice cooker coconut milk rice recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Graded coconut - 1 1/2 cup
  2. Rice - 1 1/2 cup
  3. Small onion or shallot - 12
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Cardamom - 3
  6. Cloves - 4
  7. Cinnamon stick - 2 inch (broken)
  8. Salt - to taste.
  9. Oil - 1/4 cup

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut the small onion into fine pieces.
  2. Make 2 1/4 cup of coconut milk by gridding the coconut by adding water as needed and draining the pulp.
  3. In the rice cooker add oil and heat it up. Add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, cut onion and cook for minute. Now ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone.
  4. Now add the 2 1/4 cup of the coconut milk, 2 cup of water and wait until it foams ( 3 to 4 minutes). Now add the rice, Now add the coriander leaves and cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Place the lid and cook until rice is done and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with korma.
