INGREDIENTS:

  1. Rice - 1 cup
  2. Peas - 3/4 cup
  3. Coconut milk - 2 cup
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 2 teaspoon (tsp)
  5. Ghee - 2 table spoon
  6. Fennel seeds - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Cardamom - 2
  8. Cinnamon stick - 1/2 inch
  9. Cloves - 2
  10. Bay leaves - 1
  11. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Wash and clean the rice with water and keep it aside.
  2. In a pan heat ghee when it melted add cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves, bay leaves and cook for 1 min.
  3. Now add the peas, stir and cook for 2-3 min.
  4. Now add the rice and cook for 1 min. Now add the ginger garlic paste and cook for another minute.
  5. Add the coconut milk bring to boil then reduce heat simmer and cook until the rice is done.

NOTES:

  1. You can cook in pressure cooker the rice as well at the step 5.
