INGREDIENTS:

  1. Cooked rice - as needed.
  2. Shredded mango - 1 1/4 cup
  3. Green chili - 4
  4. Asafoetida powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Shredded coconut - 1/4 cup
  6. Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Split black gram - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind green chili, coconut, salt as needed, asafoetida powder by adding little water as possible. Now add shredded mango and grind to a fine paste by adding little waters as possible.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add split black gram. Once the black gram turn brown add curry leaves and sauté for a minute.
  3. Now add the ground paste and cook until oil separates. Now add this to cooked rice mix well and serve. NOTE: you can add more oil if needed.
