Fenugreek greens rice recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Cooked rice (non sticky) - 2 cup
  2. Fenugreek greens (leaves) - 1 bunch
  3. Finely chopped onion - 2
  4. Finely chopped tomato - 2
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Oil - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onion and then fenugreek greens.
  2. Once the greens are sautéed add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  3. now add the tomato and sauté until they become mushy.
  4. Now add the chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
  5. Now add the cooked rice and mix well until the rice is well coated with greens and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with carrot poriyal.
