Citron rice recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Citron - 1 or as needed
  2. Cooked rice - 3 cup
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  4. Salt - as needed
  5. -- For Tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - little
    2. Bengal gram - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Dry chili - 2
    4. Chopped green chili - 1
    5. Chopped ginger - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    6. Curry leaf - 10 count
    7. Coriander leaf - little
    8. Oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. From Citron take 2 or 3 tablespoon (tbsp.) of juice.
  2. In a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seed stop splattering add bengal gram, dry chili, green chili, ginger, curry leaf and sauté them until raw smell is gone.
  3. Now the turmeric powder and mix once then remove from heat. Now add the citron juice, salt and mix well.
  4. Now add the cooked rice, coriander leaf and mix well then serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with potato masala, chips.
  2. Cooking Time: 5 minutes
