Oat buttermilk porridge recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Oat flour - 2 cup
  2. Butter milk -  3 or 4  cup
  3. -- For Tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Split black gram - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Split bengal gram - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    4. Finely chopped ginger - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    5. Finely chopped green chili - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    6. Asafoetida powder - a pinch
    7. Curry leaf - 6
    8. Oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  4. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Mix oats flour in butter milk by adding salt as needed.
  2. In a pan heat oil, add mustard seed, split black gram, bengal gram, asafoetida powder; once the mustard seed stop splattering.
  3. Now add ginger, green chili, curry leaf and sauté until raw smell is gone. Now add this to the oats.
  4. Cook the oat and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Stir when you cook oats or it will get burnt at the bottom.
