Village Style Drumstick leaves poriyal recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Drumstick leaves - 2 cup
  2. Garlic - 2 cloves
  3. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Split black gram - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Dry chili - 1
  6. Raw rice - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  7. Oil - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Salt - as needed.

PREPARATION:

  1. Roast the rice until they become Puffed rice. Now grid this to coarse in a mixer. To this add garlic and run mixer in pulse mode for 2 to 3 times.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. add mustard seeds, black gram. dry chili. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering. Now add the drumstick leaves and sauté  them to 3 to 4 minutes. NOTE: if gets too dry sprinkle little water.
  3. Now add the coarse rice powder, salt and mix well. Sauté and cook this for another minute.

NOTES:

  1. Cooking time: 10 minutes
