INGREDIENTS:

  1. Finely chopped Green beans - 1/4 kilogram
  2. Garlic - 4 to 5 cloves with skin
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Salt - as needed
  5. -- For Tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Split black gram - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Curry leaf - 5 count
    4. Oil - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Coarsely grind garlic.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, split black gram. Once the mustard stop splattering add green beans, turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Place a lid and cook this in medium heat. NOTE: you can also add little water while cooking.
  3. Once the green beans is cooked. add garlic then mix well. Cook this for 2 or 3 minutes or until the garlic raw smell is gone and then serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with sambar rice.
