Ven pongal recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Rice - 1 cup
  2. Mung beans - 1/4 cup
  3. Black pepper - 1/3 teaspoon (tsp)
  4. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  5. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Boil 5-6 cup of water in a pot. add the mung bean and cook until its done.
  2. Now add the rice cook until it becomes paste consistency.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add black pepper, Cumin seed and cook until the cumin seed start to splatter.
  4. Now add this to the pongal, mix well and serve.
