INGREDIENTS:

  1. Shredded Coconut - ½ cup
  2. Black gram - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  3. Dry chili - 2
  4. Tamarind - a small gooseberry size
  5. Asafoetida powder - a pinch
  6. Oil - as needed
  7. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Roast black gram, dry chili in 2 tablespoon (tbsp.) oil.
  2. Roast the coconut in separate pan until it turns golden brown.
  3. Grind roasted black gram and dry chili by adding salt for a 30 second. Then add coconut, tamarind, asafoetida powder and grind to a coarse powder.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with rice
