Mango thokku pickle recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Shredded mango - 2 cup
  2. Chili powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Fenugreek seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Sesame oil - 1/4 cup
  6. Turmeric powder - a pinch
  7. Asafoetida powder - a pinch
  8. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry fry the mustard seed (1/2 tsp.), fenugreek seed and ground them to a fine powder.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add the rest of the mustard seed and wait until it stop splatter.
  3. Now add asafoetida and cook for few second,
  4. Now add the shredded mango, chili powder, turmeric powder mix well.
  5. Reduce the heat and cook until oil separates.
  6. Now add the ground (mustard seed, fenugreek seed) powder mix well and serve.
