INGREDIENTS:

  1. Macaroni - 2 cup
  2. Chopped onion - 3
  3. Chopped Tomato - 2
  4. Chopped green chili - 1
  5. Crushed garlic - 2 cloves
  6. Curry leaf - little
  7. Chili powder - to you spicy preference
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Chili paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Tomato sauce - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  11. Masi (dry fish) powder ( மாசித் தூள்) - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  13. Oil - as needed.
  14. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Boil water by adding turmeric powder, salt. Now add the macaroni to boiling water and cook them. Drain all the water from cooked macaroni and keep it aside.
  2. In a pan heat oil. Now add mustard seed. Once the mustard seed stop splattering add onion, garlic, green chili, curry leaves and sauté until onion become translucent.
  3. Now add tomato, chili powder and sauté until raw smell of chili powder is gone.
  4. Now add tomato sauce, chili paste, masi (dry fish) powder, salt if needed and sauté.
  5. Now add cooked macaroni and mix well and sauté for couple of minutes and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Before you remove from heat you can garnish with chopped coriander and serve as well.
