INGREDIENTS:

  1. Spinach greens - 1 bunch
  2. Green pea - 100 grams
  3. Chopped Tomato - 100 grams (medium size)
  4. Chopped Onion - 100 grams (medium size)
  5. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Green chili - 4
  7. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Coriander powder - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Chat masala - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Oil - 1/4 cup
  12. Salt - for taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Chop the spinach into small piece and cook with little water for 10 minutes. (spinach will release water as well). Cool this to room temperature. To this add green chili and grind into a semi liquid paste.
  2. In a pan heat oil. add cumin seeds. once cumin stop spattering add onion, tomato and sauté for 3 minutes.
  3. Now add green pea, chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chat masala and sauté in low flame for 5 minutes or until tomato becomes mushy.
  4. Now add the spinach paste, salt and cook in low heat for 10 minutes or until the chili raw smell is gone.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with chapatti, parotta.
