Green chili sabzi recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Bhaji green chili - 4
  2. Shallot (sambar onion) - 10
  3. Tamarind - gooseberry size
  4. Mustard seeds - for tempering
  5. Curry leaf - little
  6. -- To Dry Roast and Grind --
    1. Blanched peanut - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Sesame seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Spit bengal gram - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    4. Dry chili - 5
  7. Oil - as needed
  8. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak tamarind in water and take a thick juice.
  2. Dry roast the ingredients under the section "-- To Dry Roast and Grind --" and grind to  thick fine paste.
  3. Sautee the Shallot (sambar onion) in oil.
  4. De-seed the Bhaji green chili and roast then in oil.
  5. In a same pan add little oil. add mustard seed, curry leaves. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add the roasted bhaji green chili, roasted Shallot (sambar onion).
  6. Now add the tamarind juice and cook until oil starts to separate and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with chapati.
