INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chopped Capsicum - 4 (big size)
  2. Roasted gram - 5 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Fresh shredded coconut - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Tamarind paste - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Garam masala powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Turmeric powder - a pinch
  9. Oil - 1/4 cup
  10. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak roasted gram in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Grind soaked roasted gram, coconut, tamarind paste, water as needed into a fine thick paste.
  3. In a pan heat oil. add cumin seeds once the cumin seeds stop splattering add capsicum pieces and sauté until the capsicum becomes soft.
  4. Now add the ground coconut paste and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Now add salt, chili powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and cook in low flame until oil floats and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with chapatti and fried rice
