Vadai kuzhambu recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Masala vadai - 4
  2. Chopped tomato - 2
  3. Chopped onion - 2
  4. Coconut - small wedge
  5. Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Coriander powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Curry leaf, coriander leaf - little
  10. Oil - 50 milliliter
  11. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. In a mixer add onion, tomato, coconut, cumin seeds and grind to thick fine paste by adding water as needed. Now add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chili powder, little water and mix well to make thick batter.
  2. In a pan heat oil. Now add curry leaf and once it stops splattering add the thick batter and bring to boil.
  3. Now add the masala vadai and cook for another 10 minutes in medium heat until the right thickness is reached and then serve by garnishing with coriander leaves.
