Mushroom curry recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Mushroom - 500 grams
  2. Onion - 1
  3. Green chili - 1
  4. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Fennel seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Curry masala powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Garlic - 4 cloves
  8. Tomato - 1
  9. Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup
  10. Oil - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Curry leaves - 5
  12. Salt - to taste.

PREPARATION:

  1. Chop mushroom into 2 pieces.
  2. Finely chop green chili, onion, garlic and tomato.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, fennel seeds, curry leaves. Once the mustard seed stop splattering.
  4. Add onion, garlic and cook until onion turns golden brown.
  5. Now add the tomato, green chili and cook until oil separates.
  6. Now add mushroom, curry masala powder, salt to taste. Simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Now add the coconut milk. Cook until the mushroom is cooked.
  8. Once the curry is thickened. Remove from heat and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with rice, dosai.
