Mor (butter milk) kuzhambu recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Mor (butter milk) - 1 cup
  2. Shredded coconut - 1/2 cup
  3. Cumin seeds - 3/4 teaspoon (tsp)
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
  5. Hot green chili - 3
  6. Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Cut ladies finger or okra - 1/2 cup
  8. Oil - 2 table spoon
  9. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind coconut, hot green chili, 1/2 cumin seeds, turmeric powder to a fine paste.
  2. In pan heat oil, add mustard seed until it starts to splatter, now add the cut okra or ladies finger, curry leaves for 2-3 min.
  3. Now add the rest of the cumin and cook for 1 min. Now add the ground paste and cook for 2-3 min.
  4. Now add the butter milk, salt to taste.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer and cook until the okra is cooked well.
  6. Remove and serve with rice.
