Yogurt chutney recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Yogurt or Curd - 1 cup
  2. Chili powder - 1 or 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Sugar - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. -- Grind to paste--
    1. Fresh shredded coconut - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
    2. Green chili - 2
    3. Ginger - 1/2 inch
  5. -- For Tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Cumin seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Curry leaf - 5
  6. Oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  7. Salt - as needed.

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind the ingredients under the section "Grind to paste" by adding little water as possible.
  2. Now mix the ground paste, salt with the yogurt or curd.
  3. In a pan heat oil, add mustard seed, cumin seeds, curry leaves and wait until the mustard seeds stop splattering. Now add this to yogurt or curd and mix well.
  4. Now add the chili powder, sugar to yogurt or curd. Mix well and serve this chutney with dosai or chapati.
