Tomato ginger chutney recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. -- To grind to paste --
    1. Ripe tomatoes - 4
    2. Ginger -1 inch
    3. Dry chili - 2
    4. Fresh shredded coconut - 1 table spoon
    5. Salt - to taste
  2. -- For tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
    2. Asafoetida - a pinch
    3. Oil - 1 teaspoon (tsp)

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind all the ingredients ripe tomatoes, ginger, dry chili, coconut and salt to taste to a fine a paste.
  2. In a pan heat oil, add mustard seed and wait until it stop splattering, add the asafoetida. Remove from heat and at to the ground paste mix well and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Good to go with dosai, idli.
