INGREDIENTS:

  1. Blanched Groundnut (peanut) - 100 grams
  2. Dry chili - 2
  3. Ginger - a small piece
  4. Tamarind - a small pebble size
  5. Oil - as needed
  6. Salt - as needed
  7. -- For tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Split black gram - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Curry leaves - little

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry roast the dry chili. and keep it aside.
  2. Dry roast the ground nut and keep it aside.
  3. In a mixer or blender add dry chili, ground nut, ginger, tamarind, salt. Grind them to fine paste (i.e. chutney consistency) by adding water as needed.
  4. In pan heat oil add mustard seeds, black gram, curry leaves. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add the chutney mix well and serve.
