INGREDIENTS:

  1. Wheat rava - 1/4 cup
  2. Finely chopped onion - 1
  3. Shredded coconut - 1/2 cup.
  4. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Dry chili - 4
  6. Tamarind - 1 gooseberry size
  7. Asafoetida powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Curry leaf - 8
  9. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind dry chili, asafoetida powder, cumin seeds, salt as needed, tamarind in a blender (mixer).
  2. Now add the wheat rava, 1/4 cup water and grind to coarse.
  3. Now add shredded coconut and grind to a find thick batter.
  4. Now add onion, curry leaf to the thick batter and mix well.
  5. -- Making of adai --
    1. Heat the dosai iron skillet , take a big lemon size of batter and flatten it to a flat round adai
    2. Drizzle little oil and once it is cooked on one side turn to other side and cook till golden brown. Serve.
