Dill (sada kuppi) greens falafel recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Overnight soaked White Chick Pea (whole Bengal gram) - 200 grams
  2. Dill Greens - 1/2 cup
  3. Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  4. Garlic - 4 cloves
  5. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Sesame seed - 1 1/2 tea spoon for grinding
  7. Sesame seed - 1 1/2 tea spoon for mixing
  8. Chopped onion - 1
  9. Green chili - 1
  10. Baking powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Bread crumbs - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Oil - to fry as needed
  13. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Roast sesame seed (for grinding) and cumin seed and keep it aside.
  2. Coarse grind chick pea, dill greens, coriander leaves, garlic, roasted sesame seed, roasted cumin seed, chopped onion, green chili, baking powder and salt to taste. Add the rest of sesame seed to the ground paste and mix well.
  3. Heat oil for frying in a deep pan (350 degree Fahrenheit) . Make small round ball and deep fry them and serve.

NOTES:

  1. One way to find if the balls turn golden brown.
