Baked medu vadai recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Black gram - 1 cup
  2. Rava - 1/4 cup
  3. Sour yogurt - 1/4 cup
  4. Bengal gram - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  5. Onion - 1
  6. Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Ginger - 1/4 inch
  8. Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Green chili - 1
  10. Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Cooking soda - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Curry leaf - 1 sprig
  13. Oil - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  14. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Finely chop onion, green chili, curry leaves.
  2. Soak black gram, bengal gram separately in water for an hour. After soaking for an hour grind them with ginger into a fine thick batter.
  3. Add to batter rava, yogurt, cumin seeds, onion, green chili, curry leaves, lemon juice, salt and mix well.
  4. Keep the batter aside for an hour. Now add baking soda, cooking soda and mix well.
  5. Coat a muffin tray with oil and fill the muffing mold with 3/4 of batter.
  6. Pre heat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit and bake for 25 minutes then increase the oven heat to 425 degree Fahrenheit and bake for 10 more minutes and serve.
