Spinach paniyaram recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Idli batter - 1 cup
  2. Chopped Spinach leaves - 1/2 bunch
  3. -- For Tempering --
    1. Cashews - 6 (fine pieces)
    2. Finely Chopped Onion - 1
    3. Finely Chopped green chili - 3
    4. Curry leaves - 5 (optional)
    5. Oil - 1 tablespoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in a pan add onion, chili, curry leaves and cook until onion becomes golden brown.
  2. Now add the spinach and salt as need and cook for 5 min.
  3. Now add the cooked spinach to the Idli batter and mix well.
  4. Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with oil in the kuzhi. Pour the batter into the kuzhi.
  5. When cooked (turn golden brown) flip over and cook.
  6. When done Remove them and serve when they are well done.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with cilantro chutney
