Oats kuzhi paniyaram recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Oats - 2 cup
  2. Bengal gram (kadalai paruppu) - 1/4 cup
  3. Pigeon Pea / Red Gram (Thuvaram Paruppu) - 1/4 cup
  4. Split black gram (Ulundhu Paruppu) - 2 teaspoon (tsp)
  5. Hot green chili - 8
  6. Onion - 2
  7. Green chili - 6
  8. Curry leaves (optional) - 5
  9. Ginger - 1 inch
  10. Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
  11. Coriander leaves - 10
  12. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut onions, green chili and ginger into fine pieces.
  2. Soak Bengal gram (kadalai paruppu), pigeon pea for 3 to 4 hours. Grind them into a batter (consistent to the dosai batter)
  3. Grind oats into fine powder and add the oats to the ground batter.
  4. Add onion, green chili, ginger, curry leaves, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, salt to taste and add to the dough and mix well.
  5. Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with oil in the kuzhi. Pour the batter into the kuzhi.
  6. Remove them and serve when they are well done.
