INGREDIENTS:

  1. Finely chopped Onion - 2
  2. Shredded carrot - 2
  3. Chopped coriander leaves - handful
  4. Egg - 2
  5. Idli  batter - 1 cup
  6. Wheat flour - 2 ladle (spoon)
  7. -- For Tempering --
    1. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
    2. Split bengal gram - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Spit black gram - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
    4. Oil - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  8. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. In a pan heat oil; add mustard seeds, bengal gram, black gram and wait until the mustard seeds stop splattering.
  2. Now add the onion, carrot, coriander leaf and cook until the onion turn translucent (golden brown)
  3. In a bowl break the eggs, add sautéed ingredients (onion, carrot..), idli batter, wheat flour salt to taste and mix well.
  4. Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with oil in the kuzhi. Pour the batter into the kuzhi.
  5. When cooked (turn golden brown) flip over and cook the other side. When cooked on the other side remove them and serve.

NOTES:

  1. If you like egg you can make with out them.
