Easy kuzhi paniyaram recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Idli batter - 3 cups
  2. Finely chopped onion - 1
  3. Finely chopped green chili - 4
  4. Finely chopped curry leaves - 5 (optional)
  5. Finely chopped coriander leaves - 10
  6. Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Split black gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  8. Split Bengal gram - 2 table spoon
  9. Oil - 4 tablespoon (tbsp) or as needed
  10. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. In a pan heat oil add the mustard seeds when it stop splattering, add black gram, Bengal gram and cook until they turn golden brown.
  2. Add curry leaves, coriander leaves and cook for few seconds.
  3. Now add the onion, green chili until the onion turns into light golden brown.
  4. Add this sautéed mixture to the idli batter, add salt mix well.
  5. Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with oil in the kuzhi. Pour the batter into the kuzhi.
  6. Cook them by flipping both sides, remove them and serve.
