INGREDIENTS:

  1. Javvarisi (Tapioca sago) - 1 cup
  2. Sour yogurt - 1 cup
  3. Onion - 1
  4. Hot green chili - 1
  5. Ginger - 1 inch
  6. Gram flour - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Rice flour - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  8. Asafoetida - a pinch
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Oil - to deep fry

PREPARATION:

  1. Soak pearl sago in yogurt for 5 hours. Cut onions, green chili and ginger into fine pieces.
  2. Now add cut ingredients, salt and Asafoetida to the pearl sago batter and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a heavy deep pan to 350 F. Now make small ball with the batter, deep fry them until they are cooked (or golden brown) and serve.
