Squid (kanava) vadai recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Squid (Kanava) - 5
  2. Cabbage - 1/4 cup
  3. Carrot - 3 teaspoon (tsp)
  4. Hot green chili - 1
  5. Black pepper - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  6. Fennel seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  9. Curry leaves (optional) - 10
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
  11. Oil - to fry
  12. Onion - 1

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut onion, cabbage, carrot, hot green chili, coriander leaves, curry leaves into fine pieces.
  2. Ground squid and black pepper in a blender.
  3. Mix the ground squid and the cut ingredients( onion, cabbage, carrot, hot green chili, coriander leaves, curry leaves), salt for taste, fennel seeds, Turmeric powder and keep aside for 1 hour.
  4. Heat the oil to fry.
  5. Now make small balls, flatten them, make a hole in the middle and fry them in hot oil until done.
