INGREDIENTS:

  1. Shrimp - 500 grams
  2. Shallot or small onion - 100 grams
  3. Oil - 3 table spoon
  4. Curry leaves (optional) - 5
  5. Shredded Coconut - 1/2 cup
  6. Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Garlic - 10 cloves
  8. Hot dry chili - 10 or 15
  9. Salt - to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Grind coconut, cumin seed, garlic, hot dry chili into find paste.  Cut shallot into small pieces
  2. Heat oil in pan add curry leaves, shallot and cook until shallot turns golden brown.
  3. Now add the ground paste, shrimp, 1 cup water and salt to taste.
  4. Simmer and cook until all the water evaporate and oil separates.
