Prawns thokku recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Prawns - 30
  2. Finely chopped onion – 1
  3. Ginger garlic paste – 2 teaspoon (tsp)
  4. Finely chopped tomatoes – 1
  5. Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
  6. Sambar powder – 2  teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Salt – to taste
  8. Curry leaves – 5
  9. Oil – 2 tablespoon (tbsp)

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add the onions and cook until golden brown.
  2. Now add curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone (2-3 minutes).
  3. Now add tomatoes and cook until oil separates.
  4. Add sambar powder, salt to taste and cook for 1 min. Add water as needed (1/4 cup) and bring to boil.
  5. Now add the prawns, simmer and cook until oil separates and serve.

NOTES:

  1. If no Sambar powder substitute with You can use 1 tea spoon coriander powder and 2 tea spoon of chili powder
