INGREDIENTS:

  1. Mutton pieces - 1/4 Kilogram
  2. Sliced Sambar onion (shallots) - 20
  3. Oil - 3 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  4. Coriander seeds - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Anise seeds - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Dried chilies - 6
  7. Coconut - 2 pieces
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Salt - as required

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry roast coriander and dry chili.
  2. Grind coriander seeds, dry chili, anise seed, coconut into a thick fine paste by adding little water as possible.
  3. In a pan head oil. Add sambar onion and sauté until they become translucent.
  4. Now add the mutton and sauté until they change color to light brown.
  5. Now add little water and cook the mutton until its half cooked.
  6. Now add the ground coconut paste and cook the mutton.
  7. Cook until the mutton is cooked and oil separates then serve.
