Ground or chopped mutton vermicelli recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Vermicelli - 1 packet (250 grams)
  2. Ground (finely chopped) mutton (lamb or goat) meat - 150 grams
  3. Tomato - 2 small
  4. Mint leaves - 10
  5. Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  6. Ginger paste - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
  7. Garlic paste - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
  8. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  9. Hot chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
  10. Saffron powder (optional) - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
  11. Ghee - 50 grams
  12. Oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp)
  13. Onion - 1
  14. Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
  15. Cloves - 1
  16. Cardamom - 1
  17. Garam masala powder or chicken masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut onion and tomato into small pieces. Clean, cut mint leaves, coriander into small pieces.
  2. Heat ghee, oil in a pan. Add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom and cook for 1 min.
  3. Now add cut onion and cook until it becomes golden brown.
  4. Now add the ginger and garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone.
  5. Now add coriander powder, chili powder, saffron powder, Garam masala powder or chicken masala, ground(finely chopped) mutton and cook for 5-8 min.
  6. Now add 2 cups of water ( might differ from vermicelli to vermicelli ) bring to boil.
  7. Add the vermicelli, cover with heavy lid ( or place a big object as lid) simmer and cook for 5 min in low heat.
  8. Remove from heat and serve.
