Goat or lamb liver gravy recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Goat or lamb liver - 1/4 kilo gram
  2. Onion - 1
  3. Big Tomato - 1 1/2
  4. Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Hot chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Coriander powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Vinegar - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Salt - to taste
  12. Oil - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. -- Preparing the liver --
    1. Remove the light skin on the liver.
    2. Cut them into 1 inch size cubes.
    3. Add salt and vinegar soak for 2 - 3 min. Now wash them with fresh water thoroughly, drain and keep it aside.
  2. Cut onion, tomato, green chili into fine pieces.
  3. In a pan heat oil , add ginger paste, garlic paste and cook until oil separates and raw smell is gone.
  4. Now add the onion, green chili and cook until onion turns golden brown.
  5. Now add the the tomato and cook then until oil separates.
  6. Now add the liver mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Now add the chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt to taste and mix well. Cover simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Now remove the cover mix well simmer and cook until the liver is done and the gravy reaches the right consistency then serve.

NOTES:

  1. If you cook liver for a very long time it will turn hard.
