Vanjaram fish fry (seer fish fry) recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Vanjaram fish (seer fish ) pieces - 1/2 kilogram
  2. Garlic paste - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  3. Chili powder - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  5. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  6. Unsalted Soy sauce (optional) - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  7. Oil - for frying.
  8. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. In bowl add all the ingredients except fish and oil and mix them to a thick paste.
  2. Now add this paste to the fish. Mix well and coat the fish well. Keep this aside for 30 minutes in a fridge or outside.
  3. Heat oil in pan and fry the fish pieces both side to golden brown and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Add soy sauce will give a different taste.
  2. If you use salted soy sauce be careful with salt.
  3. Fish should be 1/2 inch to an inch thick for best result.
