Shark gravy recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Small Shark pieces - 5
  2. Chopped Onion - 1
  3. Chopped Tomato - 1
  4. Slit Green chili - 1
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Cumin seed powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Fresh coconut paste - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Oil - as needed
  13. Salt - as needed.

PREPARATION:

  1. Marinate the fish pieces with salt, 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.) turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) of chili powder for 30 minutes. Fry the fish 3/4 cooked in oil and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add onion, green chili and sauté until the onion turns translucent (golden brown).
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
  4. Now add rest of the chili powder and sauté it.
  5. Now add tomato and sauté until oil separates.
  6. Now add salt, coconut paste, 1/2 cup water, fried fish. Cover with a lid.
  7. Boil and cook until the raw smell is gone and serve.
