INGREDIENTS:

  1. Nethili meen (anchovy fish) - 1/4 kilogram
  2. Chopped Onion - 1
  3. Chopped Tomato - 1
  4. Thick coconut milk - 1 cup
  5. Chopped Green chili - 3
  6. Curry leaves - 5
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Fennel seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  12. Oil - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  13. Lemon - 1/2
  14. Salt - to taste.

PREPARATION:

  1. Clean the Nethili meen (anchovy fish).
  2. Add salt, turmeric powder to the fish and marinate it.
  3. In a pan heat oil. add fennel seed, mustard seed, curry leaves once the mustard seed stopped splatter add onion, green chili, tomato and cook until the onion turns golden brown.
  4. Now add fish, black pepper and stir the fish (don't break the fish), simmer and cook for 10 minutes until the fish is cooked
  5. Now add the coconut milk and bring to boil and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Good to go with rice, iddiyappam.
