Fish roast recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Indian mackerel or mackerel - 3
  2. Finely chopped Onion - 2
  3. Finely chopped Tomato - 1
  4. Slit Green chili - 2
  5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Salt - as needed
  11. Oil - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Coat the fish with 1/2 teaspoon (tsp. ) of chili powder, turmeric powder. Now fry the fish until it is cooked 1/2 way through.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add onion, green chili and cook until the onion turns translucent (golden brown) .
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste, rest of  the chili powder and cook until the raw smell is gone.
  4. Now add the tomato and sauté until oil separates.
  5. Now add the black pepper powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt and sauté for 2 minutes. Remove 1/2 of this and keep it aside.
  6. Now add the 1/2 cooked fish. Cover with the onion mixture we keep aside.
  7. Place a lid.
  8. Simmer and Cook until oil separates (make sure fish is cooked as well) and serve.
